Intelligent design is core to our service offering – our plants are built to ensure asset longevity, minimal operating costs and operating flexibility. We continue to invest and train our engineers and strengthen our vertically integrated capability so we can deliver you a total energy solution.

1.PROJECT FEASIBILITY 
Project feasibility is the primary step in any project – financial, technical and environmental evaluation of a proposed site is essential to identify a commercially viable project within the client’s budget. We firmly believe in laying down both the pros and cons at an early stage.

2.ENGINEERING AND DESIGN
Gentec’s specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering & design team conduct a FEED (Front End Engineering & Design) study for any given project, which translates the conceptual design of the project into a working plan with detailed engineering drawings. Our bespoke service is tailored to each clients requirements.

3.PLANT PROCUREMENT
For a typical power plant over 2 MW, over 300 industrial components need to be identified, evaluated and procured. Our procurement team has developed long term partnerships with leading suppliers such as Cummins Inc., Atlas Copco, Schneider Electric, ABB and many more that guarantee quality, competitive prices and optimum lead times. 

4.PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Gentec has a dedicated project management team and on site plant managers to ensure the project runs smoothly and the plant is commissioned on time. We understand the cost of delays! 

5.ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION
We design civil structures to optimise the performance of installed equipment, utilise space, minimise sound and environmental emissions – essentially creating an ideal environment for a power plant. 

6.MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Our project teams have successfully installed over 300 MW of power plants, ranging in size from 500 KW to 20,000 KW, 6 compressed natural gas (CNG) mother stations and 15 CNG downloading stations across the globe.

7.SYNCHRONIZATION, TESTING & COMISSIONING

Gentec engineers are trained to synchronise the power plants to the electricity distribution infrastructure and other power generation sources (such as the grid or a standby diesel generator) to ensure 24x7 power. All international safety, static & dynamic testing is completed prior to plant commissioning.

8.AFTERMARKET SUPPORT 

Gentec prides itself in offering a total energy solution. Even post plant commissioning, our team offers after sales service support, which includes 24x7 engineers on site to optimise the engine performance, store fuel safely, change spare parts and ensure safe operations – contributing to lower operating costs and a longer asset life. Gentec pioneered life cycle O&M contracts in Nigeria, offering a per kwh maintenance charge and taking full responsibility for plant performance, with financial penalties for non performance.
